Jeff is a remarkably versatile and distinctive musician with a natural ability to elevate everything he becomes part of. His musical instincts allow him to hear beyond his own role and recognize the details that can take an ensemble to another level.
The energy and musicality he brings are uniquely his own. Jeff has toured and performed with artists and ensembles including Sona Jobarteh, Paa Kow, Boukman Eksperyans, Arcade Fire, and Leyla McCalla, among others.
One of Jeff’s greatest strengths is his ability to “glue” an ensemble together. Through his timing, dynamics, textures, nuances, and instinctive musical choices, he naturally fills in what is missing and creates a stronger sense of connection between the musicians. He doesn’t simply add another part he listens, responds, and elevates the entire musical experience.
