Rather than simply admiring what they did, Jeff studied how they thought, what they paid attention to, what they practiced, what they believed, and what made their approach unique. He began applying those principles to his own drumming, creativity, performance, and life.

Over time, Jeff began recognizing patterns.

He discovered that exceptional performers often shared something deeper than technical ability: they understood their minds, paid attention to what naturally energized them, and developed their own way of expressing what they loved.

Jeff became highly attuned to these patterns and began experimenting with them in his own creative development. This allowed him to discover ways of improving more intentionally rather than simply repeating the same actions for years and hoping that more repetition would eventually create a breakthrough.

Through this process, Jeff developed a powerful ability to recognize patterns, identify what is missing, and see possibilities that others may not yet see.
